Activated carbon and non-carbon air purifiers

The air purifiers developed by Linea Eco Air provide an effective solution for treating atmospheric emissions, targeting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as solvents and odours released during painting operations and other industrial processes.

Technical features of the air purifiers

  • Compact metal structure: the system features a robust, space-saving structure made entirely of press-bent galvanized steel panels, designed for screw fastening and easy installation.
  • Prefiltration unit: the lower part of the system is responsible for the prefiltration of air drawn from the contaminated exhaust. The system is made up of several filter cells, the number of which varies depending on the model of the adsorber. Each cell includes a self-extinguishing synthetic fibre filter panel (FA280), which offers high solid particle absorption capacity, and a flame-retardant fiberglass layer, used as the primary filter.
  • Solvent adsorption unit: this intermediate section is responsible for adsorbing solvents and acidic compounds from the contaminated air. It contains cartridges filled with AC 40-class activated carbon, with the number of cartridges depending on the purifier model. The cartridges are optimally arranged to maximize adsorption capacity and carbon longevity. Their design, combined with controlled airflow velocity, eliminates channelling effects and ensures a uniform air distribution across the filter bed.
  • Ventilation unit: located at the top of the system, downstream of all other units, this component creates the ideal depression conditions. The ventilation unit is designed to overcome crossing pressure losses, ensuring the correct suction pressure values. It consists of a centrifugal fan, which can be single or twin with forward-curved blades and high-pressure 'SERIE AT' design. The fan is coupled to a three-phase electric motor via pulleys and trapezoidal belts, thus reducing the number of revolutions and noise. The motor is enclosed and mounted outside the airflow circuit, in compliance with safety regulations, with IP 55 protection.
